Membership

Georgia PTA Membership Theme (2009-2010):

LET'S GO GREEN

Members make it possible for PTA to serve children and youth.  The goal of the Membership Committee is to enroll members throughout the school community, including those who may not have children in school, but have a vested interest in seeing children succeed.  Membership in each local unit PTA shall be open, without discrimination, to anyone who believes in and supports the Missions and Purposes of National PTA.  Membership at the local unit level should reflect the diversity of its community.

Some Membership Goals for Mimosa for the 2009 - 2010 school year are:

  • A PTA member for each child enrolled in school.
  • 100% Staff Membership - this gets us the Oak Tree Award.
  • 30 Community Members - Business Partners, local police and fire departments, school board members or neighboring senior citizens.
  • 5% increase in membership to get the Council and District Awards.

Each of these goals will in turn help raise the level of education and involvement that our children receive and return while at Mimosa Elementary.

The Committee consists of the following people:

  • Chairperson - This position is open
  • Kelly Hicks - President, Mimosa Elementary PTA
  • Kim Moseley - Treasurer, Mimosa Elementary PTA

If you wish to join this committee in any capacity, please email membership@mimosaespta.org and mention "Committee" in the subject line.
